A Leader of Determination and Reconstruction

    


The life story of President Elpidio Quirino reveals a man of aspirations who could not afford to abandon his goals. He grew up in Vigan, Ilocos Sue, studying law after hard work in pursuit of an education. From his experience in education came an understanding of persistence, which guided him to a profession as a lawyer. Eventually, he was engage in publice service after countless months of hard work and study. 

    Before being elected President, he had earned a strong public record serving in government as a legislator, senator, and the Philippine Vice President. He participated in Philippine independence missions to the United States in an effort to urge full independence. Following the death of President Manuel Roxas, Quirino was thrust into the spotlight and took on an immense responsibility. 

    During his time as President, Quirino focused on the rebuilding of the Philippines in the wake of World War II, the improving of the economy, the enhancement of services to workers and farmers, and the strengthening of relations with counties. His unyielding pursuit of pursuit of peace leading to inviting amends for the Huk rebel groups dispersed across the nation. Quirino was an acknowledged leader of the Eastern Asian world grappling with innumerable crises and preventing escalation into a larger conflict. 

    


History continues to favor and to be positive about his beliefs and traditiopns he attempted to impose each day, which reflected a long-held adversarial position delving past any transitional experience he had already encountered in a post-war world. Quirino continues to be remembered for his professionalism, humanity, and acceptance of a role of stability in post-war Philipppines.

A Digital Shield for the Youth: Insights on the 2025 National Children's Month Theme

      


The entire year should be filled with activities to promote good parenting, responsible digital users, and the safe reporting of crimes among children, thus the theme should be a reflection of Filipino children's rights to live, God be with them, and development, and participation. It also encourages to all the stakeholders to put in resources and commitment to the end of this vile act and provide a safe and decent future for the children of the country.

    


The 2025 National Children's Month in the Philippines has a timely theme, “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!” (End Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children: Fight for Their Safety and Rights!). This theme highlights the serious issue of online exploitation, emphasizing the need to take active measures in both physical and virtual worlds. The word “Ipaglaban" or "Fight" underscores that opposing this crime requires collective and urgent action.

  


 The Philippines government has implemented considerable legislation and institutional measures to ensure the safety, dignity, and rights of children, with a focus on online threats. The enactment of Republic Act No. 11930, or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse further strengthened the protection focused on the safety and well-being of the children.

Honoring our Teacher

     

    During Teacher's Month, we take a particular time to appreciate and say thanks to our teachers, who are very much like a second parent. The theme, "My Teacher, My Hero", further reminds us of how they always support us, guide us, and uplift us every day. If you look at that picture of us smiling with our teachers, the picture signifies the love and encouragement our teachers offer. Because of the huge impact they have on our future, educators are true heroes. Their influence is so important because it is conveyed through life lessons in addition to book lessons. No matter how tired they may be, they always exert their ultimate effort to support our growth and learning. Their patience, compassion, and understanding help us to grow into better people. 

   


 We can show appreciation by remembering to be respectful, work hard, and say thank you when it is appropriate. During the celebration, we expressed this appreciation through cards, small gifts, and our beautiful group photo. We smiled, we laughed, and we created special memories together. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and feel happy being a part of this celebration. Most importantly, of course, we will spend our lives applying the lessons they taught.



Thank you, teachers, for your unwavering support and triumphant belief. You are, therefore, our heroes, not only teachers. We shall always be appreciative of what you do.

Quarter 2 Reflection

     


I have gained a great deal of knowledge about HTML and its features related to website development and design during this second quarter. Understanding the basic structure of an HTML file was the first step in my journey of discovery. I then realized the importance of different tags such as <html>, <head>, <body>, <p>, and <img>.  Additionally, I received instructions on how to incorporate links with tables and images to create a more inventive and organized webpage. Because of the lessons I've learned and the increased understanding of how websites are built, I find coding to be both enjoyable and very beneficial.

   


 I had some challenges during this quarter. I had a hard time at first remembering all of the HTML tags and their purposes. My codes occasionally failed to work properly because of small errors like missing brackets or improper tag placement. Furthermore, it was challenging to design a website layout that was both aesthetically pleasing and functionally correct.  I committed to practicing code writing every day and reviewing the lessons we covered in class in order to get past these challenges. I asked my teacher and fellow students for help whenever I was confused. My comprehension of HTML was greatly aided by brief instructional videos and sample code experiments.

  


  On the plus side, I plan to continue honing my HTML abilities and expanding my knowledge of web design and development. In order to build websites that are both aesthetically pleasing and interactive in the future, I am excited to become more familiar with CSS and JavaScript. I'm not going to stop here; instead, I'll keep practicing, set new goals, and create better pieces that reflect my growth as a student.
